Radio 104.5 Winter Jawn 

The annual outdoor concert organized by local alternative station Radio 104.5 is back for another year. Musical acts include Young the Giant, Matt & Kim, lovelytheband, The Interrupters and much more. Guests can also upgrade to a hospitality pass that includes a reserved private viewing area, a private VIP area in 1100 Social, 4 drink tickets (beer, wine, mixed drinks and soft drinks included), a food buffet (12:00-2:00 PM) and private bathrooms. The show will go on rain or shine (or snow).

The Wall Live Extravaganza     

The traveling Pink Floyd tribute band is coming to Philly to play some of the beloved band’s greatest hits including Another Brick Wall, Learning to Fly, Run Like Hell, One of These Days and more. The music isn’t the only appeal- the costumes, lights and stage work will truly make this show unforgettable whether you’re a Pink Floyd fan or not.

Manayunk will turn into a winter wonderland this weekend when they partner up with Founders Brewing Co for their Philly Freeze-Out. Activities include ice sculptures and ice carving demonstrations, an ice beer garden, chowder and beer pairing crawl, a crawfish boil, a hot cocoa bar, live music, exclusive shopping on Main Street and much more.

Academy of Music 162nd Anniversary Concert and Ball with Helen Mirren 

The Academy of Music Anniversary Concert and Ball has been among Philadelphia’s most highly anticipated charity events of the year in support of one of the region’s most important cultural landmarks. The concert is always unforgettable and this year promises to be better than ever with special guest Academy Award-winning actor Dame Helen Mirren Helen Mirren joining The Philadelphia Orchestra led by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The celebrations continue after the concert with the traditional promenade up the Avenue of the Arts from the Academy to the Bellevue Hotel followed by dinner, live music and dancing. Concert only tickets are available as well.

Archaeology at the Site of the Museum of the American Revolution Book Signing

Visit the Museum of American Revolution on Jan. 26 to learn all about one of the largest urban archaeology projects in Old City Philadelphia. The excavation that happened in 2014 unearthed historic treasures, some are even on display in the museum today. Dr. Rebecca Yamin will be at the MOAR to sign copies of the book (available at the museum’s shop) and also lead a hands-on activity that will showcase what the historic dig was like.

Plastics Chemistry Fair at the Franklin Institute 

This will be the 15th annual Chemistry Fair at the Franklin Institute held by the Society of Plastics Engineers. The whole museum will be filled with fun and exciting themed activities, experiments and demos all about the makeup and science behind of one of the most versatile materials on the planet. Story Time Brunch: Toy Story Edition

Join your favorite Toy Story characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear for this fun event featuring sing-a-longs, storytelling and delicious bites. Dinos After Dark

A fun event that features drinks and dinosaurs? Yes, please. The Academy of Natural Sciences is hosting this fun-filled evening full of pre-historic friends, family activities and the Dino Drafts Beer Garden in Dinosaur Hall. Other activities include a scavenger hunt, a tropical butterfly house, a fossil prep lab, boardgames, tacos and much more. Partial proceeds from Dino Drafts: The Academy Beer Garden benefit the Academy of Natural Sciences.

Ike Foundation Scholarship Dinner

The Ike Foundation’s mission is to get kids off their phones and get outdoors. Now Philadelphians can help support the cause by attending the annual scholarship dinner that raises funds for graduating seniors who have given back to their community or have had a positive influence on their community through fishing and the outdoors. Tickets include wine, beer, food, music, raffle baskets and so much more. Tickets are available online and will not be sold at the door.
