Bruins’ 6-foot-9 defenseman Zdeno Chara will be all over Mike Richards or Danny Briere. So, someone else has to step up and light the lamp.
Simon Gagne’s recent heroics means he’ll be targeted as well. Energy guys like Daniel Carcillo or Ville Leino could do it — as could finesse-player, Claude Giroux. But, it’s time for first-round draft pick James van Riemsdyk (second overall, 2007) to pick it up. He’s the only Flyers forward (except Blair Betts) to be scoreless in the playoffs and he’s scored just two goals since Feb. 10.
