On Saturday, Nov. 4, Hawthorne’s Beer Cafe (738 S. 11th St.) celebrates fall with the 2nd Annual Great Cider and Beer Festival. From noon until 8 p.m., 11th St. will become one big party from Fitzwater to Catherine, showcasing 50+ beers, ciders and wine selections poured for $5 each. What’s more, there will be food trucks, live music, kids activities and more. Here are four things you can’t miss at the 2nd Annual Great Cider and Beer Festival.

1. Beer, cider and wine — oh my!
There will be 50+ different selections of seasonal beer, cider and wine available for sipping at the festival for only $5 a pour. A few that caught our eye include Wyndridge’s Cranberry Cider, Conshohocken’s Type A IPA, Southern Tier’s Salted Caramel, Evil Genius’ Trick or Treat Chocolate Pumpkin and Forgotten Boardwalk’s Funnel Cake.

2. Foodtrucks!
With all that drinking, you’re going to need some good eats to balance the alcohol to food ratio. Expect everything from tater tots to bbq to tacos from Creme Brulee, El Tlaloc, Mama’s Meatballs, Milk & Sugar, Nick’s Roast Beef, PaperMill, Sum Pig, Surf & Turf, The Tot Cart and Waffles & Wedges.

3. Live Music
What could go better with drinks and eats than live music? Nothing! Expect a solid lineup from The John McNutt Trio, kicking things off from noon until 3 p.m. DJ Christophonic will be spinning favorites from 3 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m. Philly’s own Mass Folk Commons will close out the event from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with their folk, punk and
Celtic rock sounds.

4. Kid-friendly fun
Fortunately for the parents, there is a fun zone for the kids as well. Activities include inflatable slides, face painting, giant bubble wands, a bean bag toss and more. There will even be a giant velcro wall for both kids and adults.
