Phish
Though they got their start as Grateful Dead acolytes (and still are, frankly), Phish expanded its jamming prog-psychedelic sound into a rainbow of inspiration and invention. Plus, fans can celebrate the launch of the quartet’s SiriusXM channel, Phish Radio, with a live concert broadcast from Atlanta, and a chat with guitarist-singer Trey Anastasio.

Moo Moo Milk Bar
The family behind the Shoo Fry snack enterprise in Rittenhouse open Moo Moo Cereal Milk Bar for young and old alike. While Moo Moo serves milkshakes and La Colombe draft lattes, cereal is the order of the day, an obvious draw as it’s stuffed into homemade ice cream, and swimming in milk in silly combination bowls such as Apple Pie Bowls and PB & J Bowls.

Tradesman’s
The team behind the cluster of neighboring Center City drink-and-eateries such as BRU, U-Bahn, Finn McCool’s Ale House, Tinsel, Cinder and Uptown Beer Garden –Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group – open another spot in Midtown Village. This time, the indoor-outdoor spot is located at ye old Tradesman’s Trust Building at the corner of Chestnut and Juniper, and the concept is BBQ, whiskey and back again.

Richard Schwartz

‘The Parent Trap’
The free summer screening series in the Haas Biergarten outside of FringeArts always has a monthly theme, and for August, it’s Summer Camp time. What better camp is there than the one Lindsay Lohan attended as both Hallie and Annie, identical twins separated at birth, who reunite at summer camp for “The Parent Trap.”
