Rent 20th Anniversary Tour

The smash-hit musical is coming to the City of Brotherly Love for five days only. The show first opened on Broadway in 1996 and since then has skyrocketed to become a huge success winning a plethora of Tony awards, Drama Desk awards, Theatre World awards, a Grammy and more. The show follows seven artists struggling to follow their dreams through trials and tribulations, and this specific tour of Larson’s masterpiece serves as a tribute to the show’s longevity, popularity and faithful following.

Sandwich Battles

This March Madness-style cookoff will feature top chefs and well-known Philadelphians all competing for the city’s ultimate bragging rights. The first bracket of chefs (there will be 12 competitors total with three competing each week) begins this Monday and will continue for four weeks until the final four championship. The battle will challenge chefs to create unique and delicious sandwiches using a secret ingredient during a timed challenge.Guests who attend will get samples of the sandwiches and a bucket of beers from a rotating local brewery. Adventurous Women I Love

March is Women’s History Month and in celebration archaeologist and owner of Jet Wine Bar, Jill Weber is hosting two wine tastings to toast to amazingly fearless women she admires. This tasting is part of Jet Wine Bar’s Time Traveler Tasting series, and this edition will delve deep into the inspiring stories of different women while also digging deeper into the history of the wine and the people who make it. The event will feature five tasty wines, light snacks and guests who attend will also receive 15% off their bar tab as well as special pricing on bottles of the evening’s wines to-go.

Michelle Wolf

The Hershey Pennsylvania native is hitting the stage in the City of Brotherly Love and performing three stand-up shows over the course of two days. Wolf worked as a contributor and writer for Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, hosted the hit Netflix show The Break with Michelle Wolf and was even a featured speaker at the 2018 White House Correspondent’s dinner. Flower Power Cocktail Workshop

In honor of the Philadelphia Flower Show, Old City hotspot Art in the Age is offering a workshop that teaches Philadelphians how to make three exclusive floral cocktails. Lee Noble will be leading the demonstration and will also be available for instruction on how to make the cocktail perfect. Admission also includes two cocktails and a Q&A about the wide range of floral ingredients available to home bartenders.
