Arrest Warrant Issued for Former-Eagle Terrell Owens

An arrest warrant has been issued in the San Francisco area for former Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens after he missed an Oct. 24 court date regarding child support payments, according to reports.

A spokeswoman for Owens reportedly said that the free agent tried to reschedule the hearing because he had set up a televised workout in the hopes of drawing attention from an NFL club and was representing himself while trying to change the court date.

She also said that he is seeking to modify his child support payments, which are based on earnings – about $12 million a year – he made in 2007 as a Dallas Cowboy.

Owens, 37, played for the Cincinnati Bengals last season but has been rehabilitating a knee injury that required surgery.
