A daring bank robber struck a Center City TD bank location while a television news crew was interviewing police officers right across the street.

The robbery happened just before 8 a.m. Fridayon the 300 block of Market Street, where a crew from Fox 29 was interviewing Chief Inspector Joe Sullivan, who oversees the department’s anti-terrorism unit.

The FBI believes it is the second bank the suspect robbed this week. On Wednesday, a man matching the description robbed a TD Bank on South 11th Street.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent JJ Klaver said it’s unlikely the officers knew the bank was being robbed, because the suspect used a note to demand money.

“Most of the customers don’t know it’s being robbed when it’s a note job,” Klaver said.

Fox 29 is reporting that investigators located a tracking device placed in one of the bags at York and Aramingo.

The suspect is described as white male, 6-feet tall, with a beard. Police believe he is in his early-30’s.
