Two people are dead and one is in critical condition in two separate shootings in Northeast Philadelphia’s Frankfordsection.

A gunman opened fire on two men at around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday on the 5000 block of Frankford Avenue, police said.

One of the victims, believed to be in his 30s, was shot once in the chest and once in the back, and later died at Frandford-Torresdale Hospital, officials said. The other man, 35, was struck several times, and was in critical condition at Temple University Hospital, authorities told 6ABC.

Investigators found 13 shell casings at the scene from the gunfire.

At around midnight, a gunman fired 28 shots at a man on the 1400 block of Adams Avenue, officials said. A 27-year-old victim was struck in the face, chest, torso and legs. He died at the scene, police told CBS3.

Police believe the gunman stood over his victim as he fired shots from a “large caliber semi-automatic weapon,” killing him execution style, according to the news station.

No arrests have been made in either shooting, and police haven’t released the names of the victims.

As of Tuesday, there have been 261 homicides in the city this year, on pace to match the total for 2015.
