Beat the heat with these homemade cocktail recipes from Hard Rock Philly


After a stressful week of work, there’s nothing better than kicking back in the sunshine with a nice, cool cocktail.

While you could go to your favorite local bar, why not try your hand at creating some crafty cocktails yourself? Hard Rock Philly has made it easy for us by suggesting a few recipes to get you started. What’s more, they even have these cute mason jars to put your drinks in. Who’s winning this summer? You are!

Black Cherry Frozen Lemonade

2 oz black cherry puree
2 oz lemonade
1 ½ oz Bacardi Torched Cherry Rum
½ oz Chambord Liqueur
½ oz fresh lime juice
2 oz Black Cherry Real
1 lemon wedge for garnish
1 cherry for garnish

Blend all ingredients together with ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge and cherry.

Paradise Punch

1 oz Bacardi Gold
1 oz lemon juice
½ oz Bacardi Black
½ oz Cointreau
½ oz Monin Pomegranate
½ oz grenadine
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
4 Mint leaves for garnish, dusted in powdered sugar
1 sugar cane stick for garnish

Mix Bacardi Gold, Bacardi Black, Cointreau, Monin Pomegranate, grenadine and bitters, and lemon juice in a shaker. Pour over ice and garnish with a sugar cane stick and mint leaves dusted in powdered sugar.

Tropical Rock

4 oz Pina Colada Mix
1 oz Bacardi Razz Rum
1 oz Midori Melon Liqueur (1/2 oz in bottom of mason jar / 1/2 oz as a float)
½ oz DeKuyper Crème de Banana
1 cherry for garnish

Add 1/2 oz Midori Melon Liqueur to the bottom of the mason jar. Blend together other ingredients with ice and pour over the Midori. Float the remaining ½ oz Midori on top and garnish with a speared cherry.
