Beginning all the way back in 1861 with John Wannamaker and his first retail store on 6th and Market, Philadelphia has had an important role in America’s fashion history. Tomorrow, February 25 th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., another event in fashion history occurs as part of this year’s 2017 February Philly Fashion Week when Fashion Outlets Philadelphiapresents “Fashion Through the Ages.” The runway will be graced by many famous Philadelphians such as Ben Franklin and Grace Kelly, all donned in outfits based on the fashion fads of their time and reimagined in today’s styles. The show is bound to mix fun, fashion, history and shopping; if any clothing strikes your eye, you can purchase it at Century 21 Department Store.

Following the show, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Philadelphia Inquirer’s Fashion Columnist Elizabeth Wellington, featuring panelists who are experts in fashion such as, Fern Mallis, creator of Fashion Week, and Mickey Boardman, Editorial Director and advice columnist for Paper Magazine. All are ready to answer your questions around the changes and future of fashion and retail in Philadelphia.

Attend Fashion Outlet Philadelphia’s “Fashion Through the Ages” on Saturday, February 25 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Century 21 Department Store located at 821 Market St. in Philadelphia, PA. It is free to attend. For event information, click here.
