Black Madam behind bars for silicone butt injections

The transgender woman being eyed in connection with a silicone injection death last year is behind bars on $10 million bail following her arrest at a “pumping party” late Wednesday.

Authorities said Padge Victoria Windslowe, 42, also known as the “Black Madam,” performed an illegal butt injection on a 23-year-old exotic dancer on Feb. 19 at a home in East Germantown for $1,000. The woman was admitted to Lankenau Hospital last week for silicone in her lungs, but has since recovered, police said.

Southwest Detectives got information there was going to be another “pumping party” Wednesday at the same location, where they took Windslowe into custody. They recovered syringes, a silicone substance and crazy glue. She is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and related charges.

Authorities also hope to charge Windslowe in the Feb. 7, 2011, death of 20-year-old Claudia Aderotimi. Aderotimi traveled from London with three friends to receive the enhancement in a Southwest Philadelphia hotel, and died following the procedure. The district attorney’s office is awaiting a final ruling from the Delaware County medical examiner.

“We’re hopeful,” Lt. John Walker, head of Southwest Detectives, said of additional charges. “Again, we’re just waiting for a few more studies to come back.”

No information for Windslowe’s attorney could be found Thursday.

Shocked women still went to Madam

Walker said Windslowe was advertising the injections through a recruiter who would arrange for the women to come to a hotel room or private residence and receive the injections. Walker said he believes women continued getting the injections from Windslowe because they were told Aderotimi’s death was a result of drugs and alcohol in her system.

“We were very shocked by the fact that it was Ms. Windslowe again doing the injections and disappointed because we thought we had gotten the word out to the public regarding the danger of this procedure,” he said.
