A Philadelphia Common Pleas Court judge today reduced bail for “Black Madam” Padge Windslowe, who is accused of injecting a woman with silicone at a pumping party last month, from $10 million to $750,000.
Authorities said a 23-year-old woman received a butt injection from Windslowe at a house in Germantown on Feb. 19 and was hospitalized days later due to complications from the procedure. Windslowe was arrested Feb. 29 at a pumping party in the same home, police said. She is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, deceptive business practices and other offenses.
Windslowe could also face charges in the death of 20-year-old British student Claudia Aderotimi, who died in a Southwest Philadelphia hotel last year after receiving an injection from Windslowe. No charges have been filed in the case because the medical examiner has yet to issue a final ruling.
Prosecutors had hopes to keep Windslowe’s bail at the original amount, given the possibility of murder charges.
Windslowe would be required to post 10 percent of the bail amount, or $75,000. If she posts bail, she will placed on house arrest at her parents’ home in West Philadelphia and ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device. The judge has also instructed Windslowe to stay away from syringes, crazy glue and needles.
Windslowe’s next scheduled court appearance is May 16.
