Boucher looks flat against Vancouver

1 Welcome home, Boosh — After dropping his debut to San Jose, 4-1, back in October, backup goalie Brian Boucher was back in the Flyers’ net at the Wachovia Center for only the second time since 2002. He started strong, but gave up late, second-period goals to Willie Mitchell and Alexandre Burrows 3:50 apart.

2 Take the Power back — The Flyers’ power play, which has dropped from first in the NHL to third, continues to struggle. They’ve now gone 0 for their last 14, and haven’t had a two power-play goal game since Nov. 12 vs. Ottawa, 10 games ago.

3 Cellar dwellers —
Don’t look now but with this loss, the Flyers (13-11-1) are in a virtual tie for the Atlantic Division’s cellar with the Rangers at 27 points, holding two games in hand over New York. Defending Cup champ Pittsburgh leads with 38 points.
