On Wednesday, Nov. 15, South Street Headhouse District, along with Queen Village Neighborhood Association, is hosting a fire relief benefit for Bridget Foy’s employees, Saved Me, Inc. animal rescue and the American Red Cross/Red Paws. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. under the Headhouse Square Shambles.

Owner of Twisted Tail, George Reilly, is helping organize the benefit and says: “I live opposite Bridget Foy’s restaurant and watching what happened that night was an awful and sobering experience, looking at it with industry eyes. It makes you realize that one small thing, one mistake, can turn life upside down and affect so many people in the process.”

He adds, “Philadelphia has a close-knit restaurant community. We see each other, spend time at each other’s establishments and that creates a respect and a bond that connects the city together. I am really happy to see the response of not only the neighborhood restaurants, but that of the larger community throughout the city, reaching out to express their want to help and participate in this benefit event.”
