Bruins’ historic collapse will be on everyone’s minds

The Flyers have been known to milk a moment for all it’s worth. So, they figure to be at their finest tonight, when the Bruins come to town for the first time since their epic playoff collapse last May.

After all, it’s not every day — try 35 years — that a team is able to dig a 3-0 hole, then climb out of it. You can be sure neither of them has forgotten. Just in case, count on the Flyers’ video board to serve as a reminder of the miracle — or disaster — depending on your point of view.

“It was one of the top moments of my hockey career, to come back like we did,” Scott Hartnell said. “It was unbelievable. A terrible ending to their season, which I’m sure hurt more for them to see us go to the [Stanley Cup] Finals.”

And the Flyers, after dropping back-to-back shootouts to the Flames and Devils this past weekend, know they need to be sharp from the outset.

“I’m sure they remember what happened, with us winning four in a row,” said Danny Briere. “They’re gonna be ready.”
