Bucks County man turns in father for alleged identity theft

A Feasterville man turned his father into authorities for allegations of identity theft, according to a report from The Bucks County Courier-Times.

Nathan Durham, 22, told Lower Southampton police last week that his father Ronnie Lee Durham, 49, had stolen a Mississippi man’s identity and used it to get fraudulent identification in an attempt to duck legal problems, according to an affidavit obtained by the paper.

The younger Durham reportedly took two driver’s licenses and an ID card bearing the allegedly falsified information from his father’s wallet and showed them to police. He also brought authorities U.S. passports and a partially filled-out passport application.

Police investigated the claims and obtained a search warrant for the senior Durham’s home, where they said they found a birth certificate and tax, employment and insurance documents with the Mississippi man’s information.

Ronnie Lee Durham is charged with five counts of identity theft. He was arraigned yesterday and sent to Bucks County prison in lieu of bail.
