For years, owner Michael Dorf has been eyeing Philadelphia for his next location after opening-up City Winery in New York City, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Boston and Washington DC. With Philly expanding on its Fashion District, adding more than a dozen new vendors, City Winery has found a great place to open up shop.

“This is a great town for us and it’s perfect for our network of venues,” said Dorf.

“It really is perfect and this particular spot is great. We need column-free space. We need high ceilings, we need traffic, we like it when it’s easy for people to get in and out and this facility is fantastic,” added Dorf.

Aside from a great place to hang out and relax, enjoying music, food and wine, City Winery also offers classes about food and winemaking and hosts private events for those looking to celebrate a special occasion, according to Eater.

City Winery is slated to open in September 2019 alongside New York-based eatery Dallas BBQ, AMC Theaters, H&M, Polo Ralph Lauren, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, Chick-fil-A and more.

“We are really excited about the tenants, the blend of detail, the off-price, the fast fashion, the dining options in a city that’s known for its food culture,” Heather Crowell of SVP Strategy and Communications shared.
