Cops hunt killer in Water Dept. jacket

Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a Feb. 19 homicide in a Kingsessing laundromat.

“This was a straight-up execution,” said Capt. James Clark of the police department’s homicide division.

Surveillance video of the shooting show a man dressed in a Philadelphia Water Department jacket walk into the 53rd Coin Laundromat and shoot 25-year-old Eric Norman several times. The shooter then leaned over and fired a final bullet into Norman’s head.

Police say Norman was a stay-at-home dad who took care of a young daughter.

Investigators do not know if the perpetrator is a current or former employee of the water department. They say the department is cooperating with them to identify the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5-feet, 9-inches and 5-feet, 11-inches with a husky build.
