A Townsend, Del., man has been arrested for allegedly ramming 15 mailboxes in the Smyrna and Townsend areas with his Ford pickup truck in the early morning hours of March 24, according to state police.

Investigators said residents in 15 homes awoke that day and found their mailboxes had been struck by a vehicle overnight.

State troopers were able to identify the type of vehicle as a Ford pickup truck and located a truck fitting the description with damage they say is consistent with hitting the mailboxes.

The truck allegedly belongs to 20-year-old Billy Moffett.

Moffett was arrested Monday and is charged with 15 counts of criminal mischief. He was released on $1,500 unsecured bail and required to abide by a court-ordered curfew.

According to Moffett’s Facebook page, he works in maintenance at a Camden, Del., Wal-Mart.

His interests include Remington shotguns, “hot boating chicks” and mud bogging.Moffett mentions his love for “running his truck” and riding dirt bikes several times.

He posted a photo the day after the alleged vandalism spree showing his mud-spattered pickup.
