Delaware detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred inside a New Castle barbershop early this morning.
State police were called to the Star Center Strip Mall shortly before midnight for reports of shots fired. They found numerous shell casings in the parking lot and the body of Airrion Yancey, 18, lying inside the DWAR Studio Barbershop and Salon. The teen was shot in his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The homicide unit is investigating while the medical examiner performs an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
