A Delaware County police officer was shot several times in a reported ambush near the Folcroft rail station, leading to a manhunt for the shooter that affected area rail service before four people were taken into custody. Around 10 a.m. on Friday, Officer Christopher Dorman, 25 , was shot in the face, torso and lower extremities while responding to a report of drug activity near the corner of Primos and Elmwood streets in Folcroft, 6ABC reported. The officer, who took a total of three shots while one remained lodged in his bulletproof vest, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, according to Fox29. Focusing on a residential area near the Folcroft rail station, officials launched a manhunt for the shooter that resulted in four individuals being taken into custody, 6ABC added.

SEPTA and Amtrak service was suspended in the area, 6ABC reported, but normal service has since resumed.
