Eagles fully invested after signing Vick

Michael Vick’s road to redemption is now paved with gold.

The Eagles rewarded their superstar quarterback yesterday by signing him to a six-year deal worth $100 million, including $40 million guaranteed. Vick is under contract with the team through the 2016 season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the deal. The Eagles confirmed it shortly after through a team spokesman.

Several of Vick’s teammates took to Twitter last night to congratulate their leader.

“My big homie @mikevick deserve whey bit of that 100MILLION LOL … I love my squad,” wrote LeSean McCoy.

Vick’s deal — at about $16.67 million per year — is the third-most lucrative given to an NFL quarterback, falling just behind Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
