Eagles Notebook: Edwards signs one-year deal

The Vince Young experiment is officially over.

The Eagles signed Trent Edwards to a one-year contract Thursday. The journeyman quarterback played in 37 games from 2007-10, setting career highs in 2008 with a 65.5-percent completion rate for 2,699 yards and 11 TDs in 14 starts for Buffalo.

Edwards was signed by Oakland last season prior to training camp, but didn’t make the final roster. He was the 92nd overall selection in the 2007 NFL draft.
