Eagles Notebook: Jason Peters to sue Roll-A-Bout

Following up on a story we briefly mentioned in yesterday’s notebook, Eagles starting left tackle Jason Peters re-injured his ruptured Achilles tendon Monday. He underwent a second surgery, per CSNPhilly.com, and his recovery timetable has been delayed three weeks.

Peters was already out for the year, but some are calling this latest development career-threatening. That is a big ouch for the Eagles and arguably the best left tackle in all of football.

What makes it even worse is the manner in which Peters re-injured himself. According to the CSNPhilly.com report, the 350-pounder was using a Roll-A-Bout to help him walk and the device broke causing Peters to fall flat on his face. He is reportedly set to sue the company.

In other random Eagles news … DeSean Jackson looks like he bought himself a shiny, T-Pain chain to hang around his neck. Must be getting his Allen Iverson on after signing that new deal. Jackson was also in the news over the weekend after being stopped for a possible drunk driving charge on his way to a church charity event, according to TMZ. The state trooper who pulled him over was none too kind to DeSean and allegedly cuffed him and made him do a field sobriety test. Jackson, who was really going to church at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, passed the test with flying colors.
