The Eagles sent out a press release Monday confirming their sixth interview, former Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.

Coughlin, winner of two Super Bowl titles, will be 70-years-old when the 2016 season kicks off but certainly has credentials to keep coaching — if he wants to.

The Eagles have interviewed Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson, Adam Gase, who accepted the Dolphins head coaching gig this past weekend,Duce Staley (Eagles running backs coach), Pat Shurmur(Eagles offensive coordinator)and Ben McAdoo(Giant offensive coordinator).

The Birds had an early start to their search after firing Chip Kelly prior to Week 17’s game against New York, but seem to be unfocused and still unsure where the want to go with the organization and the hire.

“I wanted to get a jump start on our head coaching search and I knew already what we were going to do,” Eagles owner JeffreyLurie said after the Kelly firing. “I thought having six extra days was pretty important, because as you know, it’s a chaotic, rushed schedule when you’re looking for a head coach.”

Pederson appears to be the favorite, though there is no real way to know at this point, with several more interviews expected to occur this week.
