With the NFL draft just over a month away, the Eagles and their scouts have been scurrying all across the country to collect every piece of information possible to help them properly assemble their draft board.

A few key players got looks from Howie Roseman’s staff midweek this week, as the Eagles were one of 12 teams at Oklahoma’s pro day to watch controversial running back Joe Mixon (who had some off the field issues when he assaulted a woman in 2014).

“We want to get all the information,” Roseman told 97.5 The Fanatic Thursday. “Then we’ll make the decision whether to put him on our draft board or not.”

Mixon, who has drawn comparisons to Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell, was aredshirt sophomore last season and ranfor 1,274 yards and 10 touchdowns. Most mock drafts project him as a third round pick.

The Eagles also were in Ohio to focus on their defense, scouting two talented defensive ends at Youngstown State.

According to reports, assistant defensive line coach Phillip Daniels watchedDerek Rivers and Avery Moss work out. Each is expected to me a middle-round pick. The Eagles find themselves suddenly a big short on defensive linemen after the departures of Bennie Logan and Connor Barwin this offseason.

Philly also was one of a handful of teams at Penn State’s pro day, prompting many to believe Chris Godwin, a wide receiver whose stock is rising, could be on their radar.
