A fire broke out inside the historic Wanamaker building this morning, which currently houses the Macy’s Department store at 13th and Market street.
Traffic was snarled around City Hall as firefighters responded to reports of a fire, which broke out on the 9th floor, where private offices are located, NBC reported. Employees and customers evacuated the Macy’s while the fire was brought under control.
No injuries were reported.
