Experience the Renegade Company, a Philadelphia-based theatrical group, retell the story “Yellow Birds” by Kevin Powers. The story focuses around war and the life of a soldier and examines life and death. A fitting location, the Laurel Hill Cemetery is sure to provide atmosphere as the backdrop for the performance.

The West Philadelphia Orchestra is a live brass ensemble that started out playing Romanian ballads, Macedonian folk-dance songs and Bulgarian wedding music. They still play Eastern European music, but have graduated to playing original music that blend jazz, classical and sounds of the Balkan. Grab a beer and check out some truly original homegrown tunes.
