Jackson: No love lost for McNabb

Donovan McNabb may be gone, but he’s certainly not forgotten.

Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson recently told The Sporting News that he was “very happy” with the team’s decision to cut ties with McNabb.

“I don’t think we lost anything, even with Mc-Nabb being gone,” Jackson said. “Playing with [Kevin] Kolb last year, I know what he’s capable of doing. I see his playmaking ability and his leadership.”

McNabb, widely considered the best quarterback in Eagles’ history, was traded to the Washington Redskins in a blockbuster deal last month. Jackson’s comments were relayed to him during the team’s minicamp this past weekend.

“It’s so wild when people get to talking when you’re not there, but when you’re there everybody loves you,” McNabb told The Associated Press. “So I guess people will go deeper into it than I will.

“I’m a Redskin, no longer an Eagle.”
