Jason Peters: ‘No. 1 offensive lineman in the league’

Philadelphia Eagles v New York Giants Peters says he’s No. 1 at his position. Do you agree?

Cross left tackle off the Eagles’ list of concerns as the team heads into the 2013 season.

Jason Peters, speaking to reporters for the first time since rupturing his Achilles tendon last March, put his health at 100 percent. In fact, he’s been that way since January. Chip Kelly held his first official workout Tuesday as Eagles coach, and Peters was a full participant.

“I’m not going to get out there and I can’t go 100 percent, and be back where I was before I got hurt,” Peters said. “I’m going to go out there and give it all I got.”

Peters, largely considered the best left tackle in football, also believes he can return to All-Pro form. The Eagles’ offensive line struggled mightily without Peters anchoring it. He knows his presence up front will make a huge difference.

“I’m the No. 1 offensive lineman in the league,” Peters said. “It [not being out there last season] was a big difference.”
