Jay-Z’s ‘Made in America’ concert nets one arrest

Despite multiple reports touting the success of this weekend’s Jay-Z-headlined “Made in America” concert on the Parkway and the public safety triumph of corralling an estimated 40,000 people into a makeshift, ticketed arena for about 10 hours each day with nary a stabbing, Metro has been informed that one arrest was, in fact, made.

Police said that one person was taken into custody for allegedly stealing a beer from a concession stand yesterday. No word on the charges.

The coldblooded theft will certainly overshadow memories of the star-studded lineups and surprise performances, including Kanye West and a Sigel-less State Property reunion (why, Beanie, why?) Hopefully, the horrific crime won’t jeopardize any of the rumored plans for a similar event next year.
