Jury: Local Boy Scouts should remain rent-free

CENTER CITY. A federal jury sided with a local Boy Scouts group yesterday in its battle with the city over whether it could stay in its headquarters rent-free.

The city initially revoked the deal to the local Boy Scouts for violating a city policy by adopting the national organization’s ban on homosexuals. The city asked for $200,000 a year. City officials have not decided whether to appeal.
