All other Eagles rumors and news comes second to Sam Bradford’s situation. And not much has changed in the 24 hours since the quarterback’s agent Tom Condon told Howie Roseman and the Birds he wanted a trade.

Appearing as a guest last night on SiriusXM’sNFL station, Condon said”Sam wants to play somewhere where he’s going to stay for a long time if he plays well.” The agent made it clear that his client wanted to be “the guy.”

Prior to those statements, Roseman had told CSN that Bradford was the Eagles starter and their plan to help mold Carson Wentz — presumptive No. 2 pick — into a franchise quarterback depends a lot on Bradford allowing Wentz to play third string behind him and Chase Daniel.

According to reports, one from Adam Schefter, there has been interest in Bradford from other teams — particularly the Broncos.Mike Klis of 9News in Denver saidthe Broncos reached out to the Eagles regarding Bradford but that the Eagles’ asking price was too high. Schefter says the Eagles want “more than a second-round pick” for Bradford, who will cost Philadelphia at least $11 million of his $22 million inguaranteeddollars.

Whether or not Bradford is prepared to hold out when mandatory minicamp starts in June is yet to be revealed but it will cost the 29-year-old $30,000 per day if he decides to “hold out.”

Eagles bolster defensive line

To make up (at least in part) for the loss of Cedric Thornton in free agency, the Eagles brought in former Titan defensive lineman Mike Martin Tuesday and signed him to a one-year contract.

He’s only started five games in fourseasons but has appeared in 68 and has four career sacks. The former third-round pick will help back up Fletcher Cox and Bennie Logan up the middle.
