Man charged with simple assault for allegedly punching Eagles TE Dallas Goedert

A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with simple assault after allegedly punching Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert in South Dakota on Saturday.

At 1:07 a.m., police reports indicated that Goedert was punched in the face outside Zoo Bar in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was released shortly after where it has been reported that he’s doing fine.

Multiple reports confirmed that Goedert was sucker-punched when the incident took place, causing him to lose consciousness.

The man arrested was identified by the Brown County State Attorney’s Office as Kyle Douglas Hadala of Sarasota, Florida. He since been released on a personal recognizance bond and his next court appearance is scheduled for July 10.

Goedert continued his development as a viable No. 2 option at the tight end position behind Zach Ertz last season, setting new career highs with 58 receptions for 607 yards and five touchdowns.
