Man pretending to be Vitamix employee steals $5k worth of blenders from Pa. store

A smooth scam artist had employees’ heads spinning at a Devon, Pa. store after he tricked them into believing he was a representative from a high-end blender company and walked out with an armful of appliances, the Tredyffrin-Easttown Patch reported.

The man reportedly went to a shop on the 800 block of Lancaster Avenue Friday, March 30
and told workers he was a Vitamix Company employee who had been instructed by the corporation to remove blenders from a store display.

But a Vitamax regional manager later said they sent no such person.

The man left with ten blenders valued at $5,000, according to the site. Tredyffrin Police are investigating.
