Donovan McNabb dispelled rumors Thursday that he will be honored by the Eagles at a Week 3 game against Kansas City.

The former quarterback said the two sides have been talking about setting up a ceremony, but no date has been picked.

“Everything right now is in the works, nothing is written in stone,” McNabb told 97.5 The Fanatic. “It was just one step of acknowledging that I wanted to retire as a Philadelphia Eagle.”

When asked if he thought he belonged in the Hall of Fame, McNabb said, “If you ask me and I had all the votes to put me in I would say yes.”
