Meek Mill performed the Fillmore in Philly last night

Back in February, Philly rapper Meek Mill performed for nearly 20,000 people at the Wells Fargo Center but last night, he came to town for a much more intimate affair at the Fillmore in Fishtown, which has a capacity of around 2,500.

According to, the 30-year-old rapper isn’t performing smaller venues because his fanbase has gotten smaller, he’s trying to drum up some excitement for his new album, “Wins & Losses,” with pop-up shows.

Meek Mill has teamed up with Jay-Z’s Tidal streaming service for a series of three free performances for his most dedicated fans: the one in Philly last night, one in New York last Friday and an upcoming show on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
