Jeremy Maclin is back in St. Louis undergoing another battery of tests to diagnose the mysterious illness that has held him out of training camp, according to a team spokesman.
Maclin was suffering from mononucleosis back in April and showed up at camp looking thinner. Rumors have been circulating that the receiver has a career-threatening condition, maybe cancer.
Maclin tried to shoot down the rumors last weekend when he told reporters, “Those crazy reports aren’t true.”
Maclin isn’t practicing or playing in tonight’s preseason opener. The Eagles also added former Giants receiver Steve Smith Wednesday as possible insurance. So, for now, we’re all waiting …
