Kylie Minogue presents a new album and this time she pays tribute to disco music with her own style. The singer’s 15th material, “Disco,” is created in disco-pop and was released on Nov. 6. The artist shared that the disco sound is living a comeback because the new generations have taken up its essence to fuse it with a more contemporary sound, as has been the case with Dua Lipa (“Don’t start now”), Doja Cat (“Say so”) and Lady Gaga (“Rain on me”).
“Music is something cyclical, and in this new album I want to make a record for adults, something fun to remember that past that is full of memories for many,” the artist shared in a brief interview with Metro.
Minogue recalled that in her childhood she listened to a lot of disco music, which had a great influence on her career.
“My relationship with disco music began around the age of seven. From that moment I fell in love with that genre, which has now been modernized. I feel that in this album I am channeling all my experiences as a child and teenager, but in a mature way.”
