The company will by the end of July extend service to Washington, D.C., and Boston, and plans to in September add stops in eight more major cities.

“We’re so excited to begin operation here in Philadelphia,” STSC owner Jeremy Walker said in a statement.

“Philadelphia is in the center of two major cities, which provides the perfect location for our affordable and customer friendly bus services.”

Walker said STSC Transportation has already created more than 40 new jobs and looks forward to “investing more money in our local communities” as the company expands.

Trains depart every three hours from 115 N. 9th St. in Philadelphia’s Chinatown and transport passengers to 11 Allen St. in Manhattan’s Chinatown.
