New Jersey man arrested in Norristown double murder

A Newark, N.J., man with Norristown ties has been charged in a brutal double murder in the borough last month.

Luckenson Desrivieres, 24, is accused of fatally stabbing Marc Winchell Estiverne, 23, and Shamara Hill, 26, at a house on Arch Street. The bodies of the victims were discovered on June 17.

An investigation revealed that Desrivieres and Estiverne both rented rooms on the second floor of the home. The owners reported that on June 14 they heard a struggle, and the next morning saw the suspect carrying trash bags in and out of the building.

Investigators also said a woman reported that Desrivieres had recruited her to “lure” the male victim to a park where he planned to rob him and “take care of him permanently.” The woman claimed she later saw Desrivieres with a laptop and cell phone which belonged to Estiverne. Investigators recovered the laptop at a pawn shop.

Authorities tracked Desrivieres to a home in Newark, N.J., and U.S. Marshals took him into custody on July 11. He has been extradited back to Montgomery County, where he is being charged with murder, robbery, theft and related charges. He is being held without bail.
