A New Jersey high school science teacher faces multiple charges stemming from allegations he fondled, kissed and massaged a student in his classroom.

Edmund J. Harman, 26, has been charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of criminal sexual contact, acting Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said in an NJ.com report, based on an alleged incident when a female student came to him for extra credit.

In February, the student went to Harman’s classroom at Notre Dame High School in Lawrence Township, New Jersey, before the school day started, and he allegedly fondled her breasts, kissed the back of her neck and massaged her legs, investigators said in a related NBC10 report.

Harman also allegedly asked the student to send him nude photos of herself, authorities said in the NJ.com article.

Harman’s bail was set at $150,000, and it was not clear if he had posted bail or acquired legal representation, NBC10 reported, adding that investigators did not say how the allegations came to light.
