PA SPCA to have Black Friday adoption sale

The Pennsylvania SPCA will be offering discounted animal adoptions as part of its Ho, Ho, Home for the Holidays campaign.

Between Black Friday, Nov. 25, and Christmas Day, adult cats will be available for $20, kittens for $75 and the adoption fee for most dogs will be waived. The adoption center at 350 E. Erie Avenue will also open early on Black Friday – at 10 a.m. instead of its usual 1 p.m. weekday time.

“Forget the ugly sweater or cheap cologne,” a press release sent by the organization reads. “Get the gift that loves you back!”

Potential adopters must fill out applications and show proof of identification. Renters are required to bring a copy of their lease or their landlord’s phone number to verify that pets are allowed.
