Petite woman sought for string of knifepoint, gunpoint robberies

Police have released surveillance footage of a gun-toting and knife-wielding female thief who is believed to have robbed seven stores so far.

The woman, described as a black female about 40 years of age and 5’2″ to 5’5″ tall, weighing about 120 pounds and with a “raspy” voice, was allegedly caught on surveillance tape sticking up multiple stores from Southwest Philly to Rittenhouse since October.

She is also suspected in the attempted knifepoint robbery of a 16-year-old girl on the 5900 block of Greenway Avenue. In that case the suspect fled after realizing the victim did not have any money.

The suspect is believed to have been involved in the following incidents:

Oct. 3: Knifepoint robbery of 7-Eleven, 2144 Lombard Street, 12:25 a.m.

Oct. 10: Attempted knifepoint robbery of teenage girl, 5900 Greenway Avenue, 12:17 p.m.

Oct. 10: Knifepoint robbery of Angela’s Market, 5700 Chester Avenue, 7:26 p.m.

Oct. 20: Demanded money while threatening with hand hidden in bag, Lid’s Cafe, 2243 Tasker Street, 12:50 a.m.

Oct. 20: Gunpoint robbery of S&P Grocery, 6000 Kingsessing Ave., 9 p.m.

Oct. 20: Gunpoint robbery of Angela’s Market, 5700 Chester Avenue, 8:58 p.m.

Nov. 3: Knifepoint robbery of 58th Street Market, 1801 S. 58th Street, 1:12 p.m.
