Philadelphia police seek suspect in possible abduction

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of abducting a woman last week in NorthPhiladelphia.

Investigators say they received a call on Friday, April 8 around 8:45 a.m. reporting an active abduction at 900 W. Luzerne St. Upon arriving at the scene witnesses told police that a woman was forced by a man into a green car that then drove off.

An unidentified witness said the woman was yelling “get away from me; I’m not going with you” at the man who then yelled back at the woman, according to police. The woman went into the car but then exited and walked away when the man went to enter the driver’s side of the vehicle. The male physically confronted the woman who then got back into the car. The car was last seen heading west on Luzerne Street.

Police describe the man as being between 20 and 25 years old, having a medium complexion, short hair, and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark colored zip-up jacket with a light colored shirt underneath.

Police describe the woman as being in her mid to late 20s. She was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, a fitted T-shirt, jeans, pink sneakers and carrying a light colored tote-sized pocket book.

The car is described by police as possibly being a green 1995 Toyota Camry with a sunroof and a partial Pennsylvania plate, “KLB137.”
