Remember the popular HBO series, “The Wire?” Big fan and think you know everything there is to know?
Here’s something you may not have been aware of. The actor who played Detective Vernon Holley on the show, Brian Anthony Wilson, is actually from Philadelphia originally and currently lives in Cherry Hill.
Now here’s the exciting part — he’s hosting a “Wire”-themed quizzo night at London Grill in Fairmount on Monday, according to Philly.com.
The actor admits that he’s only seen three or four episodes of the show, so it’s pretty likely you’ll know more than him in regards to the show.
The 57-year-old says, “I will not claim to be an expert. I was just blessed and fortunate to be on the show.”
To go along with “The Wire” theme, London Grill’s specials have a Baltimore twist like $5 Baltimore Orange Crush cocktails (orange vodka, vanilla vodka, orange juice) and crab cakes, crab cake sandwiches and Old Bay-seasoned fries. $4 beers will also be available.
