Philly Fashion Week: Designers to watch

Time to step up your style game. Philly Fashion Week is underway, with local and visiting designers showing off their game-changing looks.

We have our eye on Dominique “Dom” Streater (pictured at left), the West Philly native and Moore College graduate who won the latest season of “Project Runway.”

Streater is debuting her Prima collection Friday, Feb. 21, in Philly Fashion Week’s ready-to-wear runway show, at the Crane Arts Building (1400 N. American St.).

Here are four other brands to keep an eye on:

Clarenz Couture

While Dom Streater focuses on versatile looks for women, Clarence Clottey has got the men covered with precisely tailored suits designed to make the wearer “feel two inches taller and seven pounds lighter.”

Bishme Cromartie

This designer’s creations are for the fashion forward. Cromartie, who’s been a favorite of Philly Fashion Week since 2008, uses bold colors and eclectic designs to capture attention.

Autumn Lin

Prefer a more feminine look? Lin designs soft, flowing garments — but with an edge. She’s a Philadelphia Fashion Incubator-Macy’s graduate and appeared on Bravo’s “Styled To Rock” by Rihanna.

AnaBella Don
