Philly Fashion Week runway shows

Philly Fashion Week Philly’s Fashion Week is more of a homegrownaffair than its counterparts this month and next in New York, Paris, Milan and London — but hey,it’s ours.

This is the 10th year for the local Fashion Week, which culminates in a couture runway show tomorrow.As participating designer Thomas Lavone put it,“I chose to show in Philadelphia instead of New York after seeing that the caliber of models and staff exceeded my expectations.”

Tonight, the ready-to-wear runway show at the Crane Arts Building (1400 N. American St.), includes designs from “Project Runway” contestant Ken Laurence. Saturday, head back to Crane Arts for the couture show.
