Philly gets the royal treatment: Prince Edward in City

Deep caption: Prince Edward paid a visit to Girard College yesterday to plant a tree to honor the Royal Family’s relationship with the school for low-income Philadelphia students. During a visit in 1860, his great-great grandfather — who would later become King Edward VII — planted a Buckeye Tree on campus; the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award program was launched there in 2009. Yesterday’s tree, a Magnolia Elizabeth, was donated by Morris Arboretum.
