Philly police hunt for suspect who escaped from hospital

Philadelphia police are searching for a man that escaped custody and ran from an area hospital.

Shortly before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Khalil Robinson, 24, was arrested for DUI and narcotics offenses and taken to Presbyterian Hospital, police reported.

On Thursday morning, an officer at the hospital was making sure Robinson was handcuffed when the suspect jumped from his bed and ran from the room, according to authorities.

Officers gave chase around a nurse’s station and out of the building, but they lost the suspect in a park near 3800 Warren Street, police added.
